As Art Director, you'll be the creative visionary who shapes how millions of players experience GOALS, setting the artistic standard in combination with performance that makes us the genre leader.
You'll lead a passionate team of artists in a collaborative remote environment where bold creative choices drive innovation and where your artistic vision becomes the heartbeat of our game.
You’ll work hands-on when needed, plan art production, and lead across concept, style, and execution — always in close collaboration with Game Design, Animation, UX, and Brand.

At GOALS you will…
- Own the in-game visual identity of GOALS.
- Drive the artistic vision across characters, environments and VFX, ensuring a cohesive, genre-defining look and feel, while always looking for ways to turn it up a notch.
- Protect performance and FPS across platforms while keeping high visual standards.
- Lead and mentor the Art discipline - from individual contributors to leads.
- Plan and lead Art production across both core game and live content, with a sharp eye on scope, timelines, and quality.
- Partner closely with other creative leads to ensure visual excellence across every player touchpoint.
- Collaborate across disciplines to carry art direction from high-level vision through to final implementation.
- Give clear, actionable feedback to internal artists and external partners alike.
- Lead by example - rolling up your sleeves and raising the bar for creative quality (at GOALS, everyone chips in as Individual Contributors).
- Take initiative in a flat, high-trust team culture - spotting problems early and solving them collaboratively.
Ideally you have…
- Proven experience as an Art Director on at least one shipped title across console and PC — ideally stylized, competitive, or character-driven.
- A strong portfolio showing your ability to lead visual style and storytelling from exploration to execution.
- Deep knowledge of 3D production workflows, asset optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Hands-on skills in concept art, 3D characters and 3D environments.
- Experience working in Unreal Engine 5, including shaders and material systems.
- A passion for sports, competition, and the emotional highs and lows of the game. But also for the culture around football.
- Experience with games-as-a-service: live ops, customization, cosmetics, and scalable pipelines.
- Strong communication skills, a pragmatic mindset, and an eye for both visual impact and production reality.
About the Employment
The position is permanent, and you can work from our Stockholm office, hybrid or fully remote from anywhere in Europe. It is important that you are able to communicate unhindered in verbal/written English.
