Senior QA Lead
We are building the next generation of football gaming
We believe football gaming should be as exciting and inclusive as the sport itself. Our vision is to build the world’s most player-centric football game, which empowers a global community to compete, create, and connect. No outdated licenses. No legacy limitations. Just pure football, driven by innovation, culture, and the people who love the game.
GOALS is for the kids and the champions. The creators, the grinders, the entertainers. For every moment of skill, every style of play, and every version of you. This is more than just a game — it’s a new standard.
Welcome to the QA team
At GOALS, our mission is to deliver the most competitive and enjoyable multiplayer football experience - fast-paced, esports-ready, and built for the players. While quality is a shared responsibility across all teams, we believe every game needs a strong QA voice to uphold and elevate the standard of excellence.
As a Senior QA Lead, you won’t just be testing the game - you’ll be shaping how we approach quality across the board. From hands-on testing and console certification to live operations and staying in touch with the community, you’ll play a central role in making sure our product delivers an exceptional experience, every single release.
If you're motivated by ownership, impact, and the chance to lead a growing QA function in a fast-moving live environment, we’d love to meet you.
At GOALS, you will...
- Lead and execute the overall QA efforts across Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
- Perform hands-on testing(at GOALS, everyone chips in as Individual Contributors).
- Identify potential risks early and collaborate with squads to ensure quality before features ship.
- Oversee internal playtests, continuously improving test coverage and insight quality.
- Coordinate console certification processes, ensuring platform requirements are met smoothly.
- Manage community-reported bugs and communicate back with clarity and transparency.
- Deliver release notes and live updates in coordination with Community and Release teams.
- Work directly with Production and Engineering to track bugs, prioritize fixes, and maintain release quality.
- Lead, mentor, and support the QA team, including performance and salary reviews.
- Define and track QA metrics such as test coverage, bug severity trends, and response time.
- Handle the escalation of critical issues and coordinate emergency fixes with minimal disruption to live operations.
Ideally, you have...
- 5+ years of QA experience in game development, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role.
- A strong background in QA for both PC and console platforms, including hands-on experience with certification for Xbox and PlayStation.
- A confident, proactive mindset — able to own the QA process end-to-end.
- Experience managing or mentoring QA teams, with a track record of team development.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally (cross-disciplinary teams) and externally (community updates).
- An analytical mindset — you dig deep into bugs, systems, and data to understand root causes.
- Comfort in a dynamic, remote-first environment where priorities shift and structure is evolving.
- A collaborative spirit with a passion for games — bonus if you love competitive sports or live-service products.
